
The Fostoria City Schools Caring Closet, in partnership with Imagine for Youth, provides essential resources like hygiene products, clothing, school supplies, and food to FCS students and families in need. This donation-based resource offers short-term support and connects families to additional assistance when needed.

Popular items include food, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, school supplies, feminine hygiene products, and youth-sized underwear and pants (sizes 4-12). Though well-stocked thanks to generous donations, youth underwear and pants (sizes 5-10), snacks, and easy-to-make meal items are in high demand.

These students in Ms. Singleton's, Mrs. Terres', Mrs. Dix's , and Miss Olivia's classes earned a pizza, movie, and ice cream sandwich reward today for having all of their work turned in and having a great work ethic. They were also presented with a Certificate of Achievement for demonstrating the following Habits: 1. Be Proactive; 2. Begin with the End in Mind; 3. Putting First Things First; and 7. Sharpening the Saw. Congratulations and you are showing characteristics of being good leaders!

Mrs. Singleton, Miss Olivia, Mrs. Terres, and Mrs. Dix were "Hanging with Their Gnomies" to celebrate before leaving for the holidays. We hope everyone had a great break and we are excited to be back!


Ms. Morgart's class won the December attendance challenge for4th grade. They had 90% attendance or higher for 14 out of 15 days. Awesome job and congratulations!

We want to wish our preschool teacher, Mrs. Place a very happy retirement! She has been with us for 26 1/2 years! Congratulations Mrs. Place and thank you for all you have done for our students and district. In this picture is Mrs. Place with some of her students she has had over the years.



Kindergarten invited families in for some holiday cheer! They sang songs, did crafts, and enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies!

Mrs. Grine’s class worked hard in groups to complete a research project on different types of penguins around the world. Students presented their final projects to the class.







The Fostoria Board of Education recognized FES students Adele Lemley and Avery Settles at Monday night's BOE meeting. Adele and Avery were celebrated for receiving the Youth Asset Builder Award. Both students were nominated by their home room teachers for being positive roles models and helping others.

Ms. Laughlin Mrs. Thatcher's 3rd grade classes just finished a voting unit. They went through the full voting process (registering to vote, researching their candidates, debating the candidates, making campaign posters, etc.) and yesterday they went to their voting "booths" to vote.







Thank you to all who donated items to the Fostoria Elementary Academy 's Seneca County Humane Society Drive. Students and teachers were able to drop off donations and get cuddles from some of the animals!
