8th graders in Mr. Fox's Social Studies classes enjoyed presentations from Vanguard-Sentinel yesterday to learn about the different courses and career paths they offer.

Last night was a special night as we had our last home high school basketball game and Senior Night for boys' basketball and cheerleading. All three teams won against Elmwood to make Senior Night a sweep! Congratulations Redmen!

Ms. Craig and Mrs. Terres' 4th-grade math classes multiplied whole numbers and fractions to figure out how to make a Rice Krispies treat recipe large enough for the entire class! What a delicious way to learn!

Fostoria Elementary celebrated January's “Reading with Frequency” award winners at a donut party. These students were awarded for reading at least 12 days for 20 minutes each day using the program Learning Ally. On senior night Garyana Overton had an incredible defensive game. How good? She tied her own single-game record of blocks with 9. She broke her own record of single-season blocks by going over 45 for the season. She also passed Melissa Latham for the most blocks of all time. Congratulations Garyana!
Today, our 7th and 8th-grade students traveled to The Ritz Theater on a field trip to see The Mayhem Poets perform. Students had the opportunity to watch a live slam poetry performance while also learning audience expectations in a theater. Check out Mr. Daring and Dr. Ricketts up on stage joining in on the fun!

Tonight is our last home game of the year and Senior Night for our HS Girls' Basketball team! Last night they defeated Old Fort for the most wins in a season.
